? The chief editor conducts an initial assessment of the manuscript. Manuscripts that contain political issues, confidentiality concerns, or fall outside the journal’s scope are immediately rejected.
3.Initial Review by Editor on Duty
? The editorial office further performs a plagiarism check on the manuscripts. Manuscripts that pass these checks are forwarded for external review. Qualified experts in the relevant field are invited to review the manuscript. The editorial office synthesizes the reviewers’ feedback to form an initial decision.
? Manuscripts deemed to lack the necessary academic quality in combination with the external reviews are rejected.
? Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to the feedback from the reviewers and the editorial office. Manuscripts in accordance with the demands may go further to the secondary review stage.
4. Editor Review
? The editorial board examines the initial review, external reviewers’ comments, and decides the manuscripts whether to review or revise again. Manuscripts passed through the evaluation may proceed to the final review stage.
5. Final Review by Chief Editor
? For chief editor, whether to adopt the manuscript is according to the entire evaluation process, in consideration of the initial review, external reviewers’ feedback, and the secondary review comments. A final decision on the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript is made.
? Manuscripts unresolved issues or additional concerns raised in the process of the final review are rejected.
