Abstract:The direct multiple shooting algorithm is one of the very effective methods of solving optimal control problem. Some of the optimal control problems can be solved more quickly and efficiently with the algorithm if only the control variable's values at the knots are given. Some flight dynamics optimal control problems were solved successfully with the improved algorithm. The algorithm is applied to solving the problem in optimal design of combat agility management system (CAMS) in this paper. The study results show that by adopting CAMS designed with the optimal control theory , an aircraft's turning time can be shortened by about 20%.

Abstract:A new design approach based on the minimal order nonlinear observer is presented to detect and locate leaks in complicated pipelines, since the measurements of pressure and flow are realizable only at the two extremes of the ducts, the state decoupling technology is utilized in generating the residual values and an appropriate method of linear coordinate transformation is selected. Then the residual sets are attained according to a series of state equations, which are sensitive to the leak set. Finally the performance of the approach is demonstrated by using the experimental data taken from the airplane refueling pipelines with leaks, and satisfactory results are obtained.

Abstract:This paper presents a method of dealing with special situations of aircraft by using BAM network in flight. Mainly BAM network is taken to map the relations between the trouble codes and managing measures in aircraft, through which the pilot can get a hint to operate in a correct way. The computing result shows that this method is effective both in accomplishing the tasks like this and in study of application of neural network to diagnosing troubles in aircraft and managing special situations in air.

Abstract:Smart antenna and joint detection are the key techniques in the third generation (3G) mobile communication system. But their algorithms are too complicated to meet the requirement of real-time processing. This paper presents a new channel estimate algorithm to solve the problem. With the diversity gain, the principle and technique of simplifying the channel estimate algorithm, structure and decreasing the complexity are discussed in detail. The integrative efficiency of the system combining the array antenna with the joint detection is analyzed. The simulation results show that the algorithm is feasible and effective, and helpful to making the technique of joint detection practical in real system as early as possible.

Abstract:The cause of sun transit is interpreted in this paper. Through the link budget and the computation of antenna noise at the time when sun transit occurs, Eb/N0 of the received signal is gained at the time when the effect of sun transit is strongest. The algorithm to achieve sun transit time and the flow chart to predict sun transit outage are also offered in this paper.

Abstract:As electronic device dimensions approach nanometer scale, quantum effects become especially and increasingly important for device operation, and the transistor structure with new mechanism needs to be adopted. The single-electron transistor (SET) is a typical example of such a structure. In this paper, the operating principle of SETs is analyzed in contrast to that of the conventional transistors (MOSFET) and some applications of SETs are outlined simultaneously.

Abstract:Under the bases of analysis and conclusion of the fractal theory, we propose a new method of image compression based on wavelet transformation compressed encoding combined with IFS fractal encoding. Experiments show that, compared with the normal fractal encoding approach, the new method is effective in practice, i.e. less operation time and higher compression ratio can be obtained.

Abstract:This paper presents a new method of implement inference and knowledge representation in IDSS based on the product-rule by using C+[KG-*2/5]+ language. In this method, we define the structure and inference of the rule as a rule class and the specific rule as an object of the rule class to construct the knowledge base. The inference process is accomplished by using the method provided by each object of the rule class in knowledge base. The designed example shows that the new method is simple and effective.
