A Turbo coded OFDM ( Turbo-OFDM ) technique is proposed for Ka - band land mobile satellite communication channel. The propagating characteristics of Ka - band satellite communication channel are discussed and LMS channel models are constructed. According to the Ka - band LMS channel model presented by Chun Loo, A Turbo - OFDM system model is constructed, and its performance is analyzed. The results show that the technique is good in performance.
