Based on the analysis of the traffic attribute of softswitch system, this paper introduces a general traffic model of softswitch, i.e. respectively taking three arrival processes--- Bernoulli process, Poisson process and Pascal process into consideration. Based on this, a queuing system status diagram of softswitch system is given. And the formula of calculating softswitch traffic is deduced, which provides theoretical bases for the design and analysis of a softswitch system.
