Aiming at the problem of target identification in multi-sensor data fusion, a method of target identification based on the rough set is proposed. Through this method the rough set theory is used to analyze data, the classing rule is derived from the matrix and discernible matrix and discernible function of the known decision making system and thus creating the rule sets. The effectiveness is illustrated by an example.
