Sufficient and necessary conditions for a generalized decision reduction is a relative reduction and a relative reduction is a generalized reduction are provided. In particular, a decision table in which the decision attribute has only two values is obtained, and its generalized reduction and relative reduction are equivalent. The results make it possible that the relative reduction is found based on generalized reduction and in a certain conditions, the generalized reduction is found based on relative reduction.
